Veiled Woman

Opening of Florence’s Nantes exhibition is this Friday!!!

Both Florence and I are very excited.

This is one of the new pictures that will be exhibited there.  Yes, Florence said okay to the sneak preview 😉   I don’t have time to write right now, but will tell you more about this picture at another time.

Hi Florence, this picture is stunning. As always, you managed to capture the potency of colour! But I’m very curious to know about the background. Who is the lady in the picture and where did you take it? Anna:-)

  2. Florence Says:

Hi Anna, thank you very much for your nice message! This picture was taken at the end of July in Osaka during the famous “Tenjin Matsuri”, one of the 3 biggest festivals in Japan. It is dedicated to Osaka’s prosperity & citizen’s peace.
There was a procession of 3000 colorfully dressed people through the streets of Osaka & among them, 10 women wearing veils & called “Uneme”.I was happy to be able to shoot one of them in the crowd ( thousands of people!). Cheers!
